About

Everyone who walks into my practice is different. That's why every treatment begins with listening carefully and carrying out a thorough assessment.

I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Every person comes with a different body, a different story and different goals. That's why I reassess what your body needs at every appointment.

My goal is to understand what's going on, together with you, and help you move more freely again.

My approach

Over the years, I have trained in a variety of chiropractic techniques. For many years, I specialised in Advanced Biostructural Correction (ABC), a method that focuses on posture and the way the body adapts to gravity.

That experience has had a lasting influence on the way I assess and treat patients. I still pay close attention to posture, movement and the way the body compensates.

At the same time, I've learned that no two people are the same. That's why I don't work from one fixed technique. Instead, I combine different chiropractic techniques and tailor every treatment to what your body needs at each appointment.

Why chiropractic?

My interest in chiropractic began when I was seven years old. During a school holiday, I went with my father to one of his chiropractic appointments. I found it so fascinating that, from that day on, I told everyone I wanted to become a chiropractor when I grew up.

That fascination with the human body never disappeared. If anything, it only grew stronger. I wanted to understand how the body moves, adapts and why people develop pain and other musculoskeletal problems.

Later in life, I experienced regular back pain, neck pain and headaches myself. Chiropractic made a significant difference. Not only did my symptoms improve, but it also gave me a much deeper understanding of how important healthy movement is for the body to function well.

The combination of a childhood dream and my own experiences ultimately led me to become a chiropractor.

Education and experience

After graduating from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in Bournemouth, England, I worked in private practice for several years before opening Chiropractie De Pijp in 2016.

I have now been treating people with a wide range of musculoskeletal complaints for more than fifteen years. Back pain, neck pain and headaches are the conditions I see most often, but every appointment begins the same way: with careful attention, curiosity and an open mind.

Outside the practice

When I'm not in the practice, you'll usually find me outdoors, either walking in nature with my dog Tommie or spending time with my horses.

Those moments help me recharge and keep me moving too. Perhaps that's one of the reasons I enjoy my work so much: helping people move more freely again, so their bodies become less of a limitation in everyday life.
