What to expect
First appointment
During the first appointment, there is time to get a clear understanding of what’s going on and how your body moves and functions.
Before your visit, you’ll complete an intake form so your symptoms and background are already clear on arrival.
Your symptoms, daily routine and medical history are discussed, followed by a check of the spine and how your body moves.
In most cases, the first corrections also take place during this appointment.
Follow-up appointments
Follow-up appointments are shorter and build on what your body needs.
Most complaints develop over time. Your body therefore needs time and repetition to truly change.
Most people start to notice a difference within a few appointments — for example less tension, easier movement, or fewer recurring complaints.
What does a plan usually look like?
This is different for everyone, but for longer-standing back pain, neck pain or headaches, appointments are often scheduled closer together at the start (for example twice a week).
This is then gradually reduced, depending on how your body responds.
The goal is not to continue indefinitely, but to help your body function as independently as possible again.
If there is no change after a number of appointments, this is reviewed together and a next step is discussed.

Payment is made directly after the appointment by debit or credit card in the practice.
After each appointment, an invoice is sent by email which can be submitted to your health insurance.
Reimbursement
Chiropractic care in the Netherlands falls under supplementary health insurance (alternative medicine).
No referral is required and it does not count towards your deductible.
It is advisable to check the exact reimbursement with your health insurance provider in advance.
