What I do
As a chiropractor, I treat back pain, neck pain and headaches, among other complaints. You can come to me with symptoms that have only recently started, as well as problems that have been there for longer or keep coming back.
During the examination, I don't just focus on where you're experiencing pain. I look at how your spine is functioning and pay close attention to your posture and any imbalances or misalignments.
What I find during the examination determines how I treat you. Sometimes the focus is on a specific area, while in other cases your posture plays a bigger role. I don't use one fixed method, but choose the techniques that are most appropriate for you.
My goal isn't just to reduce pain, but to help your body function as well as possible.
How I work
I use a range of chiropractic techniques. Which ones I use depends on what I find during the examination and how your body responds to treatment.
Posture plays an important role in my approach. For many years, I worked extensively with Advanced Biostructural Correction (ABC), a method with a strong focus on posture and how the body supports itself. I still use that knowledge today, but I don't treat everyone in the same way.
Sometimes I mainly use ABC techniques, sometimes more conventional chiropractic techniques, and often a combination of both. Throughout your treatment, I continue to assess how you respond and adapt my approach accordingly.
What you may notice
Everyone responds differently to treatment. Some of the changes people notice include:
less pain and stiffness
easier movement
changes in their posture
everyday activities becoming easier
Sometimes you'll notice a difference quickly, while in other cases it may take several treatments.
Chiropractic care for babies and children
Babies and children are also welcome at the practice.
If your child has symptoms, or you're wondering whether something may be going on with their spine, I can assess whether chiropractic care is appropriate.
For babies and children, I use gentle techniques adapted to their age and body.
